Heidrun Meadery
Across the road from our house is a unique place to discover one the best sparkling wines of California.
Heidrun Meadery produces brut dry, naturally sparkling, single-varietal mead(wine made from fermented honey) using the traditional French Methode Champenoise. Along with world-class meadmaking, we have a beekeeping operation and a bee forage cultivation program. Our tasting room is open 7 days a week. We offer Tours & Tastings by reservation ($15), Tasting Flights ($10), or mead by-the-bottle or by-the-glass on the patio. We recommend calling ahead to make a reservation and be sure we are not closing early for an event, same day reservations are accepted.

Hôtel Le Pigonnet 5 étoiles
The best things about this hotel is the beautiful gardens and the helpful staff. The hotel is under renovation, so there was quite a bit of construction and unfinished areas. It is obvious though that when complete the hotel will be stunning. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The staff were very accommodating when we asked to move rooms due to the noise from construction. The only downside for me is that it wasn’t in walking distance of restaurants and shops so you need a car to drive anywhere.
Bowling du Bras d’Or
This place has arcade games along with bowling. Bowling rates varies per day. We usually play on Monday (2Euro per game per person + 2Euro for the bowling shoes). The site has its own restaurant inside. You can buy pizzas, drinks and soft drinks etc., The persons in charge speaks English too which is beneficial. Except Monday, you need to reserve the timeslot for bowling (8 rows are available) via phone or coming on site. There are two pool boards too. Beware of the level of sound due to music.
