Nicasio Pumkin Patch

During October, this is a must-visit place if you have kids

The popular Nicasio Valley Farms Pumpkin Patch is a certified organic pumpkin patch that has been a Marin County tradition for 20 years! Located in the small west Marin village of Nicasio, the farm is just west of the Nicasio Village Square right on Nicasio Valley Road. Nicasio Valley Farms Pumpkin Patch is open seven days a week through Halloween from 10 am to 6 pm, and it’s always worth a visit.

Nicasio Valley Farms Pumpkin Patch offers a wide variety of certified organic pumpkins spread out in an expansive meadow on the farm. Pumpkin varieties ranged from your standard Halloween jack-o-lantern types to white ones, green Italian and Australian varieties, and flat European “Cinderella” style squash. The farmstand also offers of gourds, squash, and decorative cornstalks, apples, as well as drinks and snacks. Pumpkins range in price from $5 to $32. Hôtel Le Pigonnet 5 étoiles

The best things about this hotel is the beautiful gardens and the helpful staff. The hotel is under renovation, so there was quite a bit of construction and unfinished areas. It is obvious though that when complete the hotel will be stunning. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The staff were very accommodating when we asked to move rooms due to the noise from construction. The only downside for me is that it wasn’t in walking distance of restaurants and shops so you need a car to drive anywhere.

Bowling du Bras d’Or

This place has arcade games along with bowling. Bowling rates varies per day. We usually play on Monday (2Euro per game per person + 2Euro for the bowling shoes). The site has its own restaurant inside. You can buy pizzas, drinks and soft drinks etc., The persons in charge speaks English too which is beneficial. Except Monday, you need to reserve the timeslot for bowling (8 rows are available) via phone or coming on site. There are two pool boards too. Beware of the level of sound due to music.
